False alarm

Was helping out on the phone lines for a festival today and on the opening day of bookings - the fire alarm went off in the building. In Ireland, less attention is paid to fire alarms than here in the UK so I naturally carried on with the sale until the customer asked "eh, is that a fire alarm in the background?" at which point we were told to evacuate the building. I had to tell her it was but everything was grand and she got her tickets in the end.
