Turbulent
[NB - This is a week old back blip, the river has settled down somewhat since this was taken.]
The day after the "bankfull" stage, the River Aire was still very swollen. This spot, just down stream of Baildon Bridge, is a weir. Only the weir isn't visible as the water is so high. What the weir has created is this phenomenal deep gully of turbulent water, which was keeping myself and a number of other bystanders entranced on our way to work.
The power of water.
