Cumbernopoly
1. Lashing. Just lashing. The day starts with poetry with Adam and Colin having a William Carlos William vs Tom Leonard riff. I think it's a good day.
2. Leftover tagine for lunch and then saying cheerio to those heading off to New York. Funny photos, funky shirts and emotional letters. A good way to end the day.
3. A long, very wet walk to Mono where we are getting the bus out to Easterhouse to see the bloke that wrote the music for Gregory's Girl perform it. Before we go in, there's a wee exhibition about cumbernauld and the town artist from the 60's called Brian Miller. Here's the Cumbernopoly, which the more you say it the more it makes you laugh.
4. Don't be ashamed of Gregory's Girl Mr Tully, don't. We all love it and it's all we all want to hear. Oh and tell your guitarist there is never, ever any excuse for that skat singing. Other than that, all the best.
5. Bus back to town, dodging the rain to get home for that last Grayson Perry, which I almost make it to the end of without sleeping. Almost, but not quite.
