The Winner

Who doesn't know this figure of the Scottish music scene? For those who don't, this is Aidan Moffat: former half of the band Arab Strap and half behind 'Everything's Getting Older', album released in 2011 in collaboration with multi-instrumentalist, Bill Wells. Recently the album was announced the absolute winner of the first ever Scottish Album of the Year Award, a new prize created to promote and reward the creativity of Scottish music.

Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells put an end-point to the West End Festival 2012 after another day of great Scottish music - 14 bands showcasing their talent and music resounding through the Oran Mor walls.
