Sweets for my sweet???

Lucy the opportunist thief strikes again.
Yesterday, I gave someone a lift and they were kind enough to give me a box of sweets.
We didn't open them last night but left them on a table in the living room.
This morning, I went out for a newspaper and when I returned, this is what I met.
Joe wasn't allowed near them.
I checked with the vet as chocolate is toxic to dogs but as Lucy had only eaten five or six, she should be okay.
If I had not come back then, would she have eaten the lot?
