Day 329. Saving the planet.... A+ (but not A++)

I am a big fan of energy saving lighting. These LED GU10 replacements give a great natural looking light and have reduced now down to a reasonable price. But I always wonder, what is the cost of manufacturing to the planet? OK, they save energy when you use them, but how much is that cancelled out by the complex manufacturing processes and resources used?
