110 Ring Road
Or Hringbraut 110, Reykjavik in Icelandic. The family moved into this white house in 1950 and later that year my youngest sister was borne.
Much later my father got one man to build the roof - this was a funkis house, nearly a Bauhaus, with flat roof and that does not work in Iceland - and he needed room for his children.
My room was behind the dormer window facing the street.
The inserted picture, taken ca. 1959, is of me running across the street from my then best friends front door, where he was standing with his new camera and wanted to take a picture of me, but I ran away. That same year I bought my first camera and took a picture of him.
As you can see the traffic has changed from left to right (1968) and a lot of other changes has occurred like the asphalt on the road, the fence ets.
Location: Picture is on the house, direction taken North East from across the street
