Wombat Hollow Banksia

I have been inspired to have a very close look at the banksias that are so prevalent at Wombat Hollow.  Recently CCN and I visited the Banksia Farm in Mount Barker and met Kevin Collins.  Kathy and Kevin Collins are world authorities on Banksias and have every known species growing on their property.  

I'm going to send the images to Kevin to see if he can identify them for me. You never know, there may just be one that he's never seen before - wouldn't that be exciting.

This humble banksia is growing outside the kitchen window and honestly, I'm looking at all of the different banksias in a whole new light.  We learnt so much from Kevin that day.
