2015 Wednesday -- Porch is Framed

If you saw yesterday's post, then you "get" what's happening in this photo. The old cement porch and stairs are soon to be replaced.

Today our construction team of three built the frame for the new porch and next week the cement will be poured. Then the frame for the new stairs that will lead to the front porch will be built and cement poured.

This is a little house built in 1942 and over the years it has been added onto, and most of it has not been done by a craftsman. Three years ago we purchased the house when the real estate market was at rock bottom. The best feature of the entire house is that it has 32 feet of windows that face the Pacific Ocean.
