Sitting in the morning sun

Expecting some decent images of Megan from China. They had all gone to sit by the riverside when a couple of local amateur photographers armed to the teeth with shiny new DSLRs asked if they could take pictures of Megan. They promised to email copies to Luke who in turn has promised to email me. Looking forward to receiving these pictures but also very aware that so many things can go wrong here, not least the old maxim 'all the gear, no idea' and Luke's track record for forgetting things!

That conservatory is proving to be a boon for my home photography challenge. If only the sun would come out more often and stay out for longer.

Been helping Diana's uncle Harold to buy a camera. Not easy with me here and him 200 miles away in Middlesborough! He thought he wanted a Fuji Finepix X100 having handled mine last time he visited. I located a 2nd hand camera for a verty decent price but he didn't fancy risking 2nd hand so went to PC world to look for new. Two issues for him, one the cost (£797) and two it's bigger than he remembered (well he is in his 90s). I've recommended a Sony RX100 (love mine) of Canon G7X. Next thing will be trying to teach him how to use it via email.
