Beaded Black Swan

A few months ago a pair of black swans appeared on the lake. I'd not had the opportunity to get close to them until today. They were feeding at the edge of the lake and didn't seem to mind me taking a few shots.

This photo really shows off their feathers' water resistent qualities.

It was a really drizzly morning and I was getting so wet and my camera too, so I didn't stay out as long as usual.

The extra is a shot of a little egret. Again, I don't usually get the chance to get close enough to photograph them on the lake. So this was a treat!
