Multiple Reflections

A very distorted view of a room in Waddesdon Manor today.  The House opened at 11 and from then on there was a constant stream of people through. It only eased up a bit a short time before the House closed! There were lots of coach trips in for the Christmas Market as well as the Manor so we were all kept 'on our toes' minding everything.  Very few children but lots of adults with mobility issues which meant our very ancient lift was in constant use and gave up at the end of the day - the engineers have been called!

Most people were fascinated with the trees  - 'are they real'?  Yes they are real, grown in Hertfordshire and selected well ahead of the Christmas season so they can be trimmed to the correct size whilst still growing. I must admit they do look almost too perfect to be true.  They also drop very few needles because they are well watered and the House is not hot.

The plant partly in my blip is Achillea, otherwise known as Yarrow.  The heads have been dried and put together in a spherical arrangement. Mirror plates have been out on the table to reflect the chandelier, tree and plant.  A suitable abstract for today's blip.

This is one image taken with the new compact Panasonic TZ70, supposedly excellent for low light with its larger sensor - I am not convinced on its performance so far and unless results get significantly better, it may find itself being returned.  It just might be 'user error' though so I will wait for a few more 'goes' as I have 14 days in which I can change my mind.
