Belated Birthday Gift
Had a very belated birthday present today. My friend bought me a voucher for a Michelin Star meal in London for my birthday which was way back in March. Today we went to Silk which is an old converted court house.
It used to be The Great Marlborough Street magistrates Court. It set the scene for many famous cases over the years.
Charles Dickens worked as a reporter there for the Morning Chronicle in 1835. Quite a fascinating place. My friend Julie and I sat right under the judges bench. The witness stand and dock are all still there.
The whole place has been turned into a
hotel. Bit of a shame really. But thats what seems to happen these days......nothing stays the same.
It was almost opposite Carnaby Street which was so beautifully lit up.
London was bustling as usual, it was a lovely evening. Food was great.
Back on Internet so blipping will be easier although I've lost my mojo a bit.
