Le Tour; Chickens; and Raptors
Went looking for a pair of Kestrels I've seen hunting near Duddingston Loch a few days in a row now (when without the camera) and got luck, as it seems the place I'd stood to hang around was the favoured spot of one of them (the other hanging about further up the side of Arthur's Seat). Not great light, but hey, nice and close to these wonderful birds.
I did see a rather strange 'CloudBOw' heading back to the car.
We've been chicken-sitting most of the day, but the integration has been a little easier going than a couple of years back. In the main that's because we've been able to keep the old and new girls apart, but able to see each other, right from the start. The first actual meeting should be interesting.
But the big thing of the day was the Tour starting. Okay, it's only the prologue today, but I love these three weeks of the year, and just hoping that Wiggins can live up to his bookies' favourite billing.
Right, off to make some gallettes for dinner. Toodle pip.
