Odd One Out

Down the road there is a field growing poppies. An afternoon stroll took us passed it and I noticed this one poppy taller and darker than the rest. A hole in the hedge let me get close to get this shot. Shame about the power line.
This morning started with me not getting my hair cut, queues were too long. Jane went looking for some flat black shoes and bought two pairs; coffee in the Bridge Patisserie (disappointing, will try the Art Cafe next time) and a wander round Winchester. This afternoon Rosie returned from her year working in Manchester; having brought back some of her belongings on her last two trips home (including one car full) we were a bit surprised to find her car packed to the gunnels.
This evening we will enjoy the last of the local asparagus and hope Andy can progress without causing too much angst.
