Winter Village

It seems the sun forgot to rise today. It never really became bright, there was certainly no sign of the sun. Instead as I arrived at Aberdeen's Winter Village it was raining quite heavily. The Winter Village opened yesterday.

I took shelter in a doorway, or under the canopy of the Caledonian hotel to take a couple of photographs. It is a pity the chalets are all lined up along one side of the street, I think a better effect could have been obtained using the market square at Castlegate where the chalets would not have been in one long line.

There was not much business being done today, too windy and wet. I did not stay long, and as far as I could see nor did many others while I was there.
