A flower for Friday

What a wet day ... I don't think the rain has stopped since first thing this morning. It's a day for watching the Davis Cup and searching for an indoor blip.
I have a cactus which sits on my kitchen window sill and for most of the year it's a rather sad looking specimen. Recently bright magenta coloured buds started appearing and these have now started opening. It's not an easy plant to photograph because the wonderful flowers tend to droop a bit. A bit of thought and I put the plant on the ironing board, lay on the floor and took the photo from below.
