Cosmos in October

Last year we took out all our wildflowers and grass in the front and put in raised beds for veggies and herbs.  The Cosmos came back - not in force, but decoratively around the garden.  This one has bloomed over and over and is still vibrant close to the end of October.  The black seeds are a favorite of our local finches, including the Lesser goldfinch.
