A Barn

Did a nice 5+ mile circular walk this morning - incorporating a path that I had not fully walked before.

It was very windy in places and there always seemed to be a threat of rain - but it never actually started!

I have blipped this barn before - but in bright summery light. Today it was very grey - but I wondered if this would come up in HDR so I took three bracketed exposures. In the end I processed just one image in Nik HDR to bring up the colour and increase the contrast.

I also found some bracken that was still partly green - and had some wonderful colours - but I blipped some brown bracken yesterday!

Katie disturbed a couple of pheasants in the hedgerow and tried to chase them..sadly her old bones are slowing down and the birds got away. She still keeps going at a steady pace on these walks. Finlay copes really well with everything I throw at him - he was jumping over fallen tree trunks today (I had to clamber over them). He stops occasionally to drink from puddles -it  recharges his batteries (and replenishes his bladder)!
