Welsh for Purple Moose. The name of the small independent and prize winning brewery based in Porthmadog, North Wales. 
They have been going for about 10 years now and produce quite a wide range of products. Their seasonal offering is Merry X-Moose and I treated Carl to a bottle of Dark Side of the Moose today. It's worth checking the pronunciation of the Welsh version;-)

Never really spent much time in Porthmadog before, so after the obligatory mocha and rhubarb and cherry cake in Cadwaladers, had an explore which is when I came across the Purple Moose brewery shop and had a happy few minutes browsing. No free samples unfortunately.. 

Windy and rainy today, so a beach was in order. Headed to Criccieth afterwards. Hadn't intended to, but a friend put the idea in my head and the seed was sown! Plus I needed some serious zen restoration!
