Radiatas

There was a very heavy mist today, and I thought before I drove to Sydney I'd stop briefly to photograph these trees in Parklands.

Radiatas, or Monterey Pines are considered a pest in the Blue Mountains, and their removal is encouraged.

Most of these trees were planted over a century ago, specifically to screen and act as a windbreak.

Weed or not, they're very pretty in the mist.
