The PostIt System...

I have a system. I use colour coded postit notes to keep track of things.

Green are job numbers to help me find code on our server and it's humongous directory system. Yellow are wee notes on things that I'll get round to when, god wills it, I have some spare time. Orange are immiate attention things so I remember all the plates I have spinning.

Additionally, if I get something new at the end of day or progress that needs remembered for the next morning, they get stuck to the monitor so I don't miss them.
