I wonder

So today we drove 140 miles to Kent to do a Christmas fete at the school I went to, volunteered at and then worked in- total time 14 years!
I realised on the way home why I left, bitchy staff, ungrateful parents and unsupportive leadership teams don't make for a great atmosphere in an already stressful job!

As I said we were only doing the Christmas fete but it was poorly organised and advertised, so badly so Tim and I packed up and left after just 2 hours. What I wasn't told is someone was selling the same product as me (of poor quality- ie aldi hot chocolate instead of cadburys) and only charging £1.50. I was charging £2.50 for branded goods and in the end I'd had enough. Out of principal I wasn't lowering my price and we left.

Called into lakeside on the way home for dinner and some doughnuts. What a long day for not much reward
