Whittington Castle
One good deed deserves another and I've returned a good deed today by driving my friend and near neighbour to Oswestry to the Care Home where her late husband died last week to collect his personal items. It was a painful exercise for her, I know, but we got through it together somehow and with the help of the lovely staff at the Home.
The weather today has been abysmal so any hope of getting a good blip along the way was fairly out of the question, but on the way home we stopped in Whittington and I took a quick shot of the Castle before we headed for shelter and a cuppa in the tearooms.
Still raining when we got home, but the contents of my car are now safely in A's house and after seeing her settled I'm ready for a quiet night. Mr T is up at the Gliding Club tonight to hear a talk on 'what it's like to fly in the high mountains of Chile'; he'll be home early in the morning as we're off to Birmingham for the afternoon performance of the International Tattoo.
