Izzy

This is Izzy. She is a rescued 'mostly'Border Collie. Although her face shows maybe some bearded breed, I'm thinking. Tara tried her very best to entice Izzy to play with her but Izzy just acted like Tara wasn't even there. She didn't interact with any of the many other dogs at the at the Dog Park this morning. And we humans might just as well have not been there either. Her mom says that she won't even play with her dog brother, Whiskey, although he tries to get her to play all the time at home. She is just interested in which ever toy her humans are throwing for her to retrieve. I have heard that this happens sometimes when puppies are taken from their litter mates and mother 'too early' in their development. Kind of sad but at least Izzy has found a forever home with humans who love her for who she is! Today's 'extra' photo is of Tara and her new, XLarge size friend Captain Splash. Splash is a Newfoundland Dog or Newfie. He weighs in at around 140 lbs and was absolutely 'smitten' with Tara. She enjoyed his attention and the fact that he was so very gentle with her.
