Vigil in York
There's no getting away from the fact that these last few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster.
Today has been something of a turning point and I think that tonight I'll sleep without all the ridiculous dreams and the waking up not knowing if I've dreamt something or it's really happened/is happening. Pretty much makes you feel that you are loosing the plot.
We had the Dwarves come to stay last night...we had, as is tradition, Grumps caught cod with chips. Not a 'making day/night', just a kidnap to let mummy and daddy chill, chillin is important.
After Maddies swimming lesson this morning we went to the Blacksmiths Arms at Naburn for lunch... All I can say is DON'T go there. We didn't bother with pudding, preferring to go to the supermarket to stock up on ice cream and chocolates to take back home.
I finished the day in York with just short of three hundred people in Exhibition Square, York. We held candles in our hands and held refugees in our thoughts.
Stay safe. X
