The Cat That Got the (Ice)Cream

OK, so it's not exactly a proverb, but it still loosely fits in with my Proverbs for the 21st Century project.

Some challenges at work today, but it was actually a fairly good shift. Everybody jolly and on good form.

Afterwards met Mathew at the gym. We went in and got started, but he'd had a txt earlier from our friends saying there was a 2 for 1 offer online for the cricket tonight and we thought we'd like to go. It was already after 4 and the cricket was due to start at 6, so we only did some very brief cardio and bailed... to McDonalds as neither of us had eaten, and we figured we could wolf something down there whilst booking tickets for the match...

... but the online sales had closed, and we didn't fancy paying full price since we're *supposed* to be saving for our holiday. So in the end, healthy gym cut short, unhealthy food consumed, and no cricket... grrr...

To make matters worse, they had no ice cream... had to go to another one later in the night to get this necessary prop. Couldn't have Mathew suffering on his own though, so I got one too!

PS - Glamorgan got beat anyway - money saved!
