Khajuraho
Diwali - the Hindu Festival of Light - was yesterday, and is generally a time when people spend it with their families, at home. The day after Diwali is when people take to the streets and there is much singing and dancing. On the streets of Khajuraho we came across a few troupes of men dancing and playing musical instruments (Morris dancing came to my mind). Here's one of their percussionists, who also acted as a 'bottler' encouraging people to give money.
We also had a wander around some of the temples of Kajuraho which were incredible, and then we flew to Varanasi, the religious capital of India on the Ganges.
