The Old Fire Station

About a year ago I blipped the old fire station in Tonbridge because it was up for sale.  It has been bought by a local businessman who had wanted to own it since he was a boy. He has turned it into an events venue and tonight we went to a "pop up" meal hosted by a local Michelin starred chef. The 6 glasses of wine to match the 6 courses was much too much and I cannot even remember what the dessert course looked like. This is course 3 :- scallops cured in kaffir, compressed melon, octopus and coriander.  It was absolutely wonderful. Most of the pictures taken inside are blurred which I put down to the lack of light rather than a shaky hand!  The extra is the chef - Dan Hatton
