Cider with Jane at Bury St. Edmunds
My dear sister Jane was feeling much better today! Hurrah! She sent me an early morning text, so I quickly got ready, caught the train to Braintree, then she drove us to Bury St. Edmunds, where they were holding their annual Christmas Fayre.
It was extremely popular, packed with many, many people. We spent the day looking round the stalls, which were all around the town, walked through the Abbey ruins, had lunch, an extremely strong (and £1.50 bargain) mulled cider, teacake and coffee and another look around the stalls and shops. Jane is extremely organised and bought a few presents...I'll be leaving mine til Christmas Eve probably...though I did buy an advent candle to remind me when it's time to panic when it's a tiny stump and I haven't bought anything!
We had a lovely time...thank you for taking me there, kind little sister!
