The boys (but missing Adam)

Luke knew I would ask for a photo today, I couldn't resist getting one of him on his short visit home. He is looking well (and the partly shaved eyebrow is growing back already) and here he and Thomas were laughing at something I said. I have an extra photo of them standing up - Thomas is nearly as tall as him! He leaves in an hour's time to get the train back to Durham, but will be home again in three week's time at the end of term.

We had a quiet morning at home and then went to a nearby pub for Sunday lunch. It was excellent - they were recently shortlisted for the best Sunday roast in the UK, and I can see why. It is windy and cold and miserable out there, and they had a welcoming fire in the pub which made it so cosy.

Gavin is off to Boston tomorrow, so it will be a quiet week this week - I think a good opportunity to start writing those Christmas cards.
