The favourite tree

I've Blipped this tree on more than one occasion before. It's always a good standby on a grey and miserable day as I like the shape and the way I can catch it standing alone with layers of countryside behind it. It's about a mile and a half from the house and normally I take the picture on one of my walks to the end of our lane and back, but I confess that today I was passing in the car and just stepped out to take the shot.

Thanks for all the comments yesterday on my new name; I think I'm coming to terms with it now!
