Corre Foc

The sound of firecrackers and drums drew us to Plaza Concordia tonight to find a pretty impressive and well organised Corre Foc (a fire run) being performed. A corre foc is a pagan festival celebrating the dark forces of the underworld, through fire and the hellish din of drums. We were once tripped up by a spoonerism and called it a furry coc, which has always made us smile.
