Strange Habits?
It wasn't too bad weather wise when SWMBO and I got into the car for a wee trip.
Within a minute or two it had gone downhill - a long way downhill.
The M9 was like a river. How there weren't cars leaving the road and heading for the fields because of aquaplaning is beyond me.
The rain turned to sleet.
The sleet turned to snow.
The snow turned to rain.
It wasn't nice!
I stopped and got a shot or two of the snowy hills before we got to the
Loch Ard boathouse.
As we arrived, the mist on the water left. So a bit of jiggery pokery was required to bring it back.
The boathouse appears to be sinking - but that doesn't surprise me when you see the state of the boat
We made it up to Kinlochard where we were going to a café a friend raves about.
It was shut!
He neglected to say it closed from October to Easter.
He is getting his bald head slapped the next time I see him.
So we went back to Aberfoyle and had lunch in the Forth Inn which is owned by somebody I have met a couple of times through a photographic group.
The town was dead!
It used to be a busy place all year.
Not this year apparently.
We stopped off in Stirling on the way home to visit our nephew and niece (and their young son) in their new (to them) house where we saw Andy Murray's last few shots to secure victory in the Davis Cup for Great Britain. It was good to see the win came from some good tennis rather than somebody's mistake.
