Mosey on down to Manchester

Lily unexpectedly came home from uni this morning - I was so pleased to see her.

I had promised the girls a trip to MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry) so once they came home we all jumped on the train into Manchester.

We spent an educational and fun couple of hours there, had our lunch (including cupcakes!) and made rockets amongst the steam engines.

I was laughing and smiling at the three of them. Sisters getting on fabulously. All of them so different.

Lily, 20. Gorgeous, funny, grabs life by the horns..having a go on EVERY 'hands on' experiment! Tells me stuff I don't know all the time.

Jeanne, 10. Quiet, clever, imagine going round MOSI with Big Bang Sheldon. Yeah..you got it.

Evie, 7. JUST AN EXPLOSION in the museum! The most enthusiastic child you could ever meet. Wanted to touch everything, do everything and read every sign!
It was brilliant - I loved it so much. Having all three of my girls together? Nothing better.

We stopped off in IKEA on the way home - lots of things to make Lily's new place nice.

I was tired by the time we came home, foiled in my #napathon but did some good 'mum' stuff this evening...I made Lily her favourite pizza and read Evie one of our best ever 'Alfie'stories...the one where Alfie goes camping in the back garden with his dad. Eve and I talked about getting a tent and doing a bit o camping ourselves this summer.

Looking at my blipfoto is making me smile. Me and them.

"I guess.. you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
...My girls"
