Tui Feeding
I completed my walk at the estuary this morning with very little on the camera to show for it. I was late getting out and the sun was very strong leaching the colours from everything.
It was midday and I was about to get in the car and go home when this tui landed in the flax beside me and proceeded to have his lunch. What a gift - the camera just about ran hot.
I was quite tickled by the amount of pollen they get on their face when feeding from the flaxes. You can see it in the extras. Messy little bird but this is how pollination works..
