Butterfly or Moth?

I'm not sure. If any of you know, please help me identify this moth/butterfly.

It was another hot, hot, hot one today ~ with the temps in the 90's again. Although it didn't feel quite as hot as yesterday ~ maybe less humid. I spent sometime in the pool in the early afternoon and then spent the rest of the afternoon in the a/c! It was too hot to cook dinner either inside or out so we went out to get a nice cold submarine sandwich!
