We have had a couple of crumbles and tarts made by my mother so not all wasted but hopefully next year we can really utilise the four apple trees we have in our back garden.

Had a very good day at the house mainly thanks to the architect that came around to discuss and draw up our extension plans. Claire and I instantly got on well with him and he's a proper "Old School" designer, he has years of experience and knows the area well. He also knows a lot about the conservation aspect of our street so I'm sure/hope all goes smoothly.

We were unsure about our position on having new windows and a new roof, I had been in touch with the authorities but they didn't really give us any diffinative answers and we were still unsure whether we needed planning permission or not. Time is of the essence on our window order as the quote is based on a limited time winter discount, but thanks to Michael and his knowledge of the system got us the answer we needed and the right one straight away today. He spoke to someone in planning and we were given the go ahead on our proposal for our windows and roof straight away so all we are waiting for now is the extension drawings and approval.

Some more walls have been stripped back and now the pond is Totally Filled In.
