Somebody needs to put a stop
to kids roaming loose
on the street. Mr Lewis
said that when he was in the corner shop
three of them burst in
and ran round the narrow aisles
knocking tins off shelves.
He thought they were primary school age.
Not even in their teens yet! Tearaways,
the lot of ‘em. And why weren’t they
in school? I suppose the parents
are to blame? If only there was
a huge bobby around to knock some sense
into them. But no one’s scared of the police
any more, that’s for sure. I’ll be pleased
to move. The house is up for sale
but there’s been no interest shown.
The estate agent says be patient.
It’s going to take a while.
