The December return...

The herd away to Stirling with a load of store sheep,so Land Rover less  this morning.
By lunch time the rain had cleared up and by tonight it was turning to frost.
Worked up the courage tonight to tackle the December return form. This is one of 2 survey forms that the Scottish Government kindly send in every year. They want to know acreages of crops ,sheep numbers, machinery, rent paid, area farmed etc. This means getting lots of scraps of paper with counts on from brother, shepherds and myself, then adding it all up and making the figures fit all the different columns on the form. Usually takes a few attempts to get it looking right.
Don't really know what the boffins do with every ones figures, but that is their problem !
