Buddy's new bed

Poor Buddy is starting to show his age. It seems that it is a little harder to get up and it takes a little bit of moving to really get going. Sort of like me :). A new soft plush bed is just what he needs.

Well, maybe not. After much positive encouragement and moving the bed to his favourite places, Buddy was having nothing to do with it. Justin finally lifted him in and asked him to stay, but as soon as the stay command was lifted, he couldn't get out of the bed fast enough.

Lacey however saw the king size bed, viewed it as an appropriate upgrade for a princess and happily claimed it.

Now with almost anything else (people, toys, food, squirrels, etc.), Lacey's interest is usually enough for Buddy to rethink his disinterest and assert his status as top dog. This time even that didn't do it.

This photo was taken when both dogs were placed in the new bed. Neither one was particularly happy to be there. Buddy because it was a bed, and Lacey because she wanted the bed to herself. Nonetheless, both had their attention on Justin as he encouraged them.

The bed came home on Friday and it has now been a few days... Lacey loves her new bed!
