Sunday Afternoon

Doesn't seem any time since my friend Rose had her 70th birthday, but today many of her friends came up the mountains to see her at the home she's now in and to wish her well.

Sadly, it's now difficult to tell how much she understands, as her Alzheimers has progressed, but there were occasional smiles and flickers of recognition.

Afterwards we adjourned to Jane's for lunch, and to share memories of the good times we had all had with her.

It was a lovely afternoon and this gentle moment between Bette and Tippi (after Tippi Hedren, for those old enough, as her owners think she is just as beautiful), captures something of the feel of the day.
