U-Bein Bridge
The day started with a bus to Inwa, then a ferry across a small river, from where we got horse-drawn carts to take us to an old wooden monastery. The carts were necessary as no vehicles could get along the narrow bumpy tracks. We saw some beautiful scenery on the way, then went passed a leaning tower before reaching a brick built temple. It was covered in peeling yellow stucco and looked lovely in the low sun of late afternoon.
However my blip is of U-Bein Bridge, a famous tourist attraction with foreigners and locals at sunset, where we went on our way back to Mandalay.
