a little bit of rhubarb

By Puggle

Today is best summed up as a cold, productive & utterly miserable day.

Cold= My place is an icebox in winter, and today I had the bejesus scared out of me when four large bathroom tiles popped off the wall & clattered at my feet. Presumably owing to the contraction of the cheap (warped) postwar plasterboard in the cold.

Productive= I resolutely stayed away from books & computers & didn't leave the house. I sifted through every clothes cupboard, wardrobe, chest of drawers & suitcase and threw out about 75% of my belongings. It took all day.

Utterly miserable= the reason why it took all day is because I avoid annual clothing cleanouts. Being allergic to dust found in cupboards, linen drawers etc means that cleaning out is a slow & decidedly unpleasant chore. I dread clothes cupboards more than anything in the world.

Was disappointed not to stumble on my missing Cokin filters or macro filters among the rubble. However, I did turn up my old cross-screen, pulsator and pop art filters from my 35mm days, many moons ago. Happy days. :-)

Today's photo is brought to you by my ever-favourite stockings, patterned with daisies. I thought if I was going to do a quick tokenistic blip, it would be fitting to use the daisy detail seeing these stockings have survived many a cleanup

And I'll take the opportunity to say thank you for the stars and kind comments for yesterday's blip. Much appreciated!
. :-)
