A Pukka Life.
It is a dull rainy day here so far, and I am keeping warm and reading my new book from Cygnus Books, A Pukka Life by Sebastian Pole.
As a volunteer at One Planet shop in Accrington where they sell a wonderful range of Pukka herbal teas, I have come to value the philosophy underpinning this brand.
It is based on Ayurvedic thinking.
Ayurveda is translated from the Hindi as meaning knowledge of life and living respectfully and wisely in a well informed holistic way.
The more I read, the more I want to learn.
Pukka, in Hindi translates as being real, authentic and genuine.
Alot of it makes perfect sense, but you need to really live it to benefit from the virtues it embodies. It is about loving kindness to oneself and the whole planet.
The book which is normally £14.99, but £7.50 + postage from Cygnus Books
comes with a free Pukka tea bag and pretty book mark.
I am grateful for an opportunity to read it and love the orange hardback cover.See www.cygnus-books.co.uk for an enlightening website.
