Winter Light and Long Shadows

At the moment the afternoon light is golden, casting long shadows of trees on the fields. Isn't it odd, I had never noticed these ancient larch trees with their golden tops breaking out above the other trees and this field is only 300m from our house! The mountain in the background is the Dents de Morcles.

Thanks for all the lovely stars, hearts and comments on the cows yesterday! The snow has almost all gone now.
