Bacchanalian Blackbird

He and his partner had just enjoyed some wine in tablet form. Grapes appear to be a new experience for them but a welcome change. The parents are just bringing their second brood out now, so their workload is very high and the effects on their bodies and plumage are obvious. However in a few weeks with a bit of TLC they will be back to their finest. This one has not been singing as much as he normally does recently, I wonder if the dire weather has dampened his spirits?

In other news.......

I removed my T shirt last night then frantically swatted and bashed away at the huge insect on my chest. Belly fluff takes ages to die!!!! Hero Moi?
