Hills, valleys and woods

On this very warm cloudy day we went on a 6 mile walk with the local walking group around the hills behind Sidford.  This is a view looking back onto a small village, shortly after we started.  It was an interesting walk as the scenery was somewhat different with unusual views towards Sidmouth.  The ground was incredibly muddy as we struggled to walk uphill but we were rewarded with good views, a white butterfly and some fungi in the woods.  The extra photo is of an interesting looking tree.  We then rounded it off by heading for the local pub.
