If I told you it was spring, you'd almost believe me, wouldn't you? A very mild day today, too. Almost balmy.

This is less believable but it's true: Oxford's 'homeless families' team has a phone number but no physical address. So if they refuse to help you on the phone, there is nowhere you can go with your baby to prove you really exist and really are going to be sleeping on the streets tonight.

Just as well it's mild.
