Straw Race

The Oxenhope Straw Race is an annual fund raising event for the local hospice.
Teams of two have to negotiate a 5 mile course (hilly!) carrying a bail of straw between them, and drinking a pint of beer at each of 4 pubs they pass on the way. Most do it in fance dress, and most don't take the running bit too seriously.

My wife plays in the band that entertains at the 1st pub. Great fun.

We cycle there, and today started off with yesterdays wet cycle shoes and waterproofs on. A bit brighter coming home, and still time to do some gardening.
